Upload your own STL, 3MF, or OBJ model for custom 3D printing in our Virginia shop. Add several different models to one quote, then choose each model's material, part colors, finished size, and quantity. Inspect the 3D preview and edit, duplicate, or remove any model before adding the complete quote to your bag.
Materials and multicolor printing
Choose from available Standard PLA, PLA+, PETG, and specialty PLA options. Assign up to four colors to each model's separate parts. Several parts can share a color, and each model in the quote can use its own combination.
Firm quotes and larger quantities
After we check your models and choices, your combined firm quote updates. It includes one setup fee for the complete quote; shipping and tax are separate at checkout. The price is honored for this unchanged configuration for 24 hours. Orders of 25 or more copies of a model and configurations that need extra attention go to Printerade for a personal quote.
Before your model is printed
Every uploaded model is reviewed for printability before production. We will contact you if changes are needed, and we will not redesign your model without approval. Please confirm your dimensions and permission to reproduce the model. Read the custom-order return policy and how we protect uploaded files.
Can I upload different models in one order?
Yes. Each upload is a separate configurable model with its own material, colors, dimensions, quantity, and price. The quote combines their totals before checkout.
Which 3D model file formats can I use?
Upload STL, 3MF, or OBJ files. For STL and OBJ, confirm the original measurement units so the finished dimensions are correct. Files must contain printable geometry; scripts and G-code are not accepted.
Can I change a model's size?
You can resize it proportionally to preserve its shape. Changing dimensions updates the quote, and the model must fit our available printing area.
Are my uploaded models public?
No. Model files are kept private for your quote, order, and customer support. They are not added to a public download library.
Which materials can I choose?
Choose available Standard PLA, PLA+, and PETG. Specialty PLA is offered when enabled. Colors and materials shown in the configurator reflect current availability.
How many colors can my model use?
Choose up to four unique colors across the detected parts. Several parts can share a color. Complex multicolor configurations may need a personal review.
Can I order several copies?
Yes. Choose a quantity for each model. The firm quote updates for the chosen quantity, and 25 or more copies of a model go to our bulk review service.
Why might a file need review or be rejected?
A file may be damaged, contain unsupported model data, be too large for the printing area, or need details we cannot quote reliably. We will not invent a price when we cannot verify a model.
Can I return a custom print?
Made-to-order prints generally cannot be returned for a change of mind after production, subject to applicable law. Our remedies for incorrect, damaged, or defective orders still apply. See our return policy.
Will the printed colors match my screen?
Swatches are an approximation. Screens, lighting, and filament finishes can make the actual print look slightly different.
Do I need to own the design?
You need the right or permission to reproduce the model, whether you created it yourself or obtained an appropriate license from its creator.
